Risks, Limitations & Assumptions
- Application handles Critical/Recovery failure alert notifications for the following two cases when user enables App Failure Notifications in configuration.
- Connectivity Exception
- Authentication Exception
- Application sends any duplicate/repeat failure alert notification for every six hours.
- Application does not control monitoring pause/resume actions based on above alerts. Metrics can be used to monitor resources and can generate alerts based on the threshold values.
- Default API Port for processing Alletra 6000 REST APIs is 5392.
- Default SSH Port for connecting to Alletra command line via SSH is 22.
- Both port values can be modified by the user at any time from the application configuration page.
- Event/Alert polling starts only when enabled in the configuration.
- Alert Severity Filter supports values: "WARNING", "CRITICAL". Alerts are filtered based on these values and can be customized anytime.
- OpsRamp provides default mappings between Alletra and OpsRamp severities in the Alert Severity Mapping configuration.
- Default severity mapping:

- Users can define the alert cleared status; default is "ACKNOWLEDGED".
- Component-level thresholds can be configured per resource.
- This application supports both Classic Gateway and NextGen Gateway.
- Minimum supported version for Latest Snapshot Metric is nextgen-14.0.0.
- Full discovery support requires Gateway version 15.0.0 or higher.
- Template Applied Time is displayed only if the collector profile version is 18.1.0 or above.
- Discovery of HPE Alletra Fan, Temperature Sensor, Power Supply, and NVMe Port is limited to components under Controllers only; Expanders are excluded.
