This section provides an overview of what to expect before you install the OpsRamp Gateway on a managed Kubernetes environment.
Installing the gateway in a managed Kubernetes cluster involves deploying a set of components that enable secure communication between your on-premises or cloud infrastructure and the OpsRamp SaaS platform. These components handle resource discovery, monitoring, and alerting.
Before you begin, ensure the following requirements are met:
- You are deploying the gateway in a managed Kubernetes environment, such as your own on-premises Kubernetes cluster, Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, Google GKE, or another cloud-hosted Kubernetes service.
- You have a basic understanding of Kubernetes concepts including namespaces, pods, deployments, and Helm or CLI tools.
- You are familiar with your organization’s network and security policies that may impact gateway connectivity to the OpsRamp SaaS platform.
