Deprecation of Windows Gateway Support on Windows Server 2012/2012 R2
- Effective Date: May 2025
- Announcement Date: March 2025
- OpsRamp will no longer provide support for the Windows Gateway on Windows Server 2012 and 2012 R2 from 19.1.0 release onwards.
- As part of our commitment to enhance platform security and performance, we are discontinuing support for these older versions. Going forward, users will need to migrate to a supported version of Windows Server in order to continue receiving updates, patches, and support for the Windows Gateway.
Impact: No future updates, security patches, or technical support for the Windows Gateway on 2012 / 2012 R2 versions. Action Required: OpsRamp recommends to upgrade the operating system of the windows gateway to Windows Server 2016 or later to maintain support and ensure continued functionality.

Removal of Significant Change and Forecast Alert options from Templates

The Significant change is seen and Forecast of a Breach of a Threshold options in the When to Alert section of Monitor in the template creation process will be removed from Setup → Monitoring → Templates → Monitors → Add after the effective date.

Alternatively, you can configure these options from Setup → Account → Alert Definitions.

You will still be able to use Significant change is seen and Forecast of a Breach of a Threshold under Setup → Monitoring → Templates → Monitor → Add for alerting until the June 2025 release. After the June 2025 release, OpsRamp will no longer consider these two options configured from the templates.
Any existing monitoring templates using Significant change is seen" and Forecast of a Breach of a Threshold should be redefined under Alert Definitions. OpsRamp will not migrate these settings from Templates to Alert Definitions.
You need to contact OpsRamp support if you want to get the list of templates configured with Significant change is seen and Forecast of a Breach of a Threshold options.
Classic Alert Browser

The Classic Alert Browser will be deprecated. Users should transition to the V2 Alert Browser, which offers an improved user interface, flexible filtering with OpsQL queries for consistency across the platform, and more streamlined alert actions.
However, users will still have the option to switch back to the Classic Alert Browser from the V2 Alert Browser page.
Classic Service Desk

The Classic Service Desk will be deprecated. Users are encouraged to use the V2 Service Desk, which provides an enhanced user experience and improved functionality.
Users will still have the option to switch back to the Classic Service Desk from the V2 Service Desk page.
Classic Knowledge Base
- Effective Date: June 2025
- Announcement Date: March 2025
The Classic Knowledge Base will be deprecated. Users should transition to the V2 Knowledge Base, which features an improved design and better usability.
Users will still have the ability to switch back to the Classic Knowledge Base from the V2 Knowledge Base page.
Legacy Classic Dashboards
As announced earlier, you will not be able to create any new Legacy Classic Dashboards.
There will be no functional changes to the existing Classic Dashboards. See Classic Dashboards for more details.
Tokyo-1 Synthetics Node
The Tokyo-1 Synthetics Node, currently used for Synthetics Monitoring in JPPOD2 Production, will be decommissioned by the end of April 2025. Tokyo-1 has been hosted on Linode and is being replaced by a new cloud-based node, Tokyo-2.
Starting May 1, 2025, Tokyo-2 will be the primary node for Synthetics Monitoring in Japan.

Action Required
- Update your monitoring configurations to use Tokyo-2 before April 30, 2025.
- Verify all synthetic checks are successfully running on Tokyo-2.
